Hello I am Nicole, the woman behind Simply Fibre

The idea for Simply Fibre came from my love of all things in the fibre world. My ever growing interest and need to explore is where the name came from...it’s just that, Simply Fibre. 

I learned to crochet as a child and took up knitting after I completed my university degree. I had so much extra time in the evenings (once the kids were in bed) it was the perfect time to learn. I am self taught and soon discovered how amazing and generous the fibre community is. I took up spinning because I wanted to have control over the yarns I used and that spiralled once I discovered art yarn. My current obsession is working with fleece, most notably, Canadian fleece. I love the entire process from greasy to clean and into a fibre batt for spinning or felting. 

Oh and I love snow!
